Artek, short for Art and Technology, was founded in the 1930s by a team of artists and architects dedicated to the exploring design and lifestyle in a medium accessible to everyone. Stool 60 is one of their earliest designs, equally timelness and functional, and remains in production to this day where it's hand assembled from 42 pieces in Turku, Finland.
